I have this thing for signs that have lights, you know the old style marquee signs with the big bulbs that really grab your attention. But I have never bought one because yowza, all the ones I LOVE are soooo expensive. However, today when I was reading through all the fantastic DIY tutorials from the Deck the Home Blog Hop, a particular post caught my eye.
Megan over at Two Feet First created an A-W-E-S-O-M-E DIY holiday sign that was LIT, ya know like a marquee sign. The kind I love. The kind I want. The kind I feel is necessary in my life.
I don’t know why I never really thought about making my own. Blame it on mom brain, I guess. But now that Megan’s wooden creation got my creative wheels spinning, you may just find marquee signs popping up all over my house.
Megan created a great tutorial on how to make your very own holiday sign with lights. She not only included a tutorial on how to make the sign, but also how to make your own MDF letters for the sign! So hop on over to her blog and make yo’ self one!
